Komponistin / Musikerin
Christine Aufderhaar schloss an der Hochschule für Musik in Lugano ein klassisches Klavierstudium (Klavierklasse Nora Doallo, Kompositionsklasse Paul Glass) ab. Danach studierte sie am Berklee College of Music in Boston klassische Komposition und Komposition für Filmmusik und schloss das Doppelstudium in zwei statt der üblichen fünf Jahre mit Auszeichnung ab. Anschließend lebte sie in Los Angeles, wo sie innerhalb eines ‚Mentorship Program of the Society of Composers and Lyricists‘ mit den Komponisten Alf Clausen („The Simpsons“), Jay Chattaway („Star Trek“) and Steve Bramson („J.A.G.“) zusammen arbeitete.
Christine wurde mit mehren Awards, Kulturpreisen und Stipendien in den USA, Deutschland und der Schweiz ausgezeichnet. 2006 wurde sie von ASCAP zu dem renommierten film scoring workshop nach Los Angeles eingeladen, wodurch sie Komponisten wie Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Jeff Rona und anderen bei der Arbeit über die Schulter schaute. 2007 wählten die Mitglieder der „Federation of Film & Audiovisual Composers of Europe“ Christine Aufderhaar als „European Composer 2008 for Switzerland“ aus. 2013 wurde sie für den Deutschen Musikautorenpreis nominiert.
Christine Aufderhaar hat für eine Vielzahl von Filmen preisgekrönte Filmmusiken geschrieben, und ihre Konzertmusik wird international aufgeführt. Ihre letzte Bühnenmusik schrieb sie für die Theaterproduktion „Mutterland“, die im Frühjahr 2015 im Wiener Kosmos Theater ihre Uraufführung erlebte.
Seit 2002 lebt Christine Aufderhaar in Berlin. Von 2004 – 2007 lehrte sie an der Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen in Babelsberg Komposition für Filmmusik. Seit 2007 schreibt die vielbeschäftigte Komponistin erfolgreiche Musiken für Film, Konzert und Bühne.
Christine Aufderhaar ist Mitglied der Deutschen Filmakademie, der Akademie der Deutschen Musikautoren und im Leitungsgremium der DEFKOM (Deutsche Filmkomponisten Union).

Composer / Musician
Christine Aufderhaar graduated from the ‘Lugano Conservatory’ in classical piano performance (piano class of Nora Doallo, composition class of Paul Glass). Upon completion, she attended the Berklee College of Music and graduated in Film Scoring and Classical Composition in two years instead of the usual five years, receiving “summa cum laude”.
Shortly thereafter, she moved to Los Angeles and worked as part of a ‘Mentorship Program of the Society of Composers and Lyricists’ (SCL) with leading composers such as Alf Clausen (“The Simpsons”), Jay Chattaway (“Star Trek”) and Steve Bramson (“J.A.G.”).
Christine was honored with awards and scholarships in the USA, Germany and Switzerland.
In 2006, she was invited to the ASCAP film scoring workshop in Los Angeles, where she had the opportunity to look over the shoulder of composers at work such as Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Jeff Rona and others.
In 2007, she was selected by the ‘Federation of Film & Audiovisual Composers of Europe’ as “European Composer 2008 for Switzerland”.
Christine Aufderhaar wrote the score to many award-winning films and her concert music is being performed internationally. The last stage music she wrote was for the theater production “Mutterland”, which had its premiere in 2015 at the Vienna Kosmostheater.
Currently Christine Aufderhaar is living in Berlin. From 2004 to 2008, she was an associate professor at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolff in the film scoring department.
Christine Aufderhaar is a member of the ‘German Film Academy’ and of the ‘Academy of German Music Authors’ and is a board member of the ‘Union of the German Film Composers’ (DEFKOM).
She is fluent in German, English, Italian and French.
